reported success on basic speed violations

Red light / stop sign runs ~75–85%. Outcomes depend on your facts, violation type, and officer response.

Success rate ranges are reported non-official estimates. Individual outcomes vary by violation, facts, and court.

The questions that matter

What exactly am I paying for?+
A complete, court-ready written defense: the right court form, your violation code, and a defense argument written for your specific facts. We also track your case and handle the timing for you — we send your filing 5 business days before your deadline, giving officers as little time as possible to respond. You print and mail it yourself, or add $15.00 and we send it certified with USPS tracking. Roughly 40% of cases are dismissed because the officer misses their response window — and we deliberately time things to maximise that chance.
Why does timing matter so much?+
Officers have a short window to submit their own response after your filing lands at the court. The later you file (within the legal deadline), the less time they have. We time your mailing to arrive 5 business days before your deadline — late enough to pressure the officer, early enough that the court can't reject it. A missed officer deadline means automatic dismissal, before anyone reads your defense.
What happens if the court finds me guilty anyway?+
You get $59.99 back — we keep $20 to cover the AI work already done. Email us the court's verdict; we process the refund to your original payment method within 5 business days. Mail add-ons (certified $15.00 or regular $10.00) are also non-refundable, because those costs are incurred the moment we send.
What if my state isn’t supported?+
You're never charged. We run an eligibility check before collecting payment. If your state doesn't allow mail-in contesting (or your specific violation doesn't qualify), we tell you before you pay — and you owe nothing.
Is this a lawyer?+
No — we're a document preparation service. You're still the one filing; we prepare the paperwork at your direction. No attorney-client relationship, and we don't appear in court for you. Think of it as TurboTax for traffic tickets.
Is $79.99 really cheaper than just paying the ticket?+
For most tickets, yes — by a lot. Paying the ticket usually sticks a point on your DMV record, which raises your insurance for ~3 years. A single moving violation is often $1,000+of insurance surcharge over that window. Fighting it (and winning) avoids that entirely. If you lose, you're out $20 plus any mailing costs — still far less than the insurance hit.
Do I need to create an account to see a price?+
No. You can upload a ticket, see if you're eligible, and see the exact total without paying or signing up. Signup happens at the moment you decide to file.
What if I lose — is that the end?+
No. If you lose, you can still request a fresh guilty on the written declaration, you can immediately request a fresh in-person trial, starting completely from scratch. The written result doesn't carry over. There's no penalty for having tried first. Worst case: you're back where you started, with $59.99 refunded and a second shot in court.
Lost your case? Here's what the Court Prep add-on ($30.00) includes+
If your written contest is denied and you want to take it to court in person, this add-on gives you a tailored prep packet: cross-examination questions for the officer, an exhibit list, and a closing outline. Family plan members pay $10.00 instead of $30.00. We keep $10 to cover the AI work.
Can I cancel the household plan?+
Any time. Go to Billing in your account and click Cancel. You keep access through the end of the billing period. No retention call.
